The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s oldest, largest and most prestigious outdoor art festivals. The Festival debuted in March 1960 as a community project to bring local artists and art lovers together. It is produced by an all-volunteer board and draws more than 350,000 visitors each year. Over 1,100 artists from around the world apply for the Festival each year. Festival. An independent panel of three judges selects the 225 artists who will exhibit their works. The Festival consistently ranks as one of the top juried fine art festivals in the country with high rankings in Art Fair Calendar’s “2019 Best Art Fairs”, Art Fair Source Book’s rankings, and Sunshine Artist Magazine’s “Top 100” lists. The 2021 Artists Application is by invitation only this year and is being extended to the final 2020 accepted artists.

The 2021 Dirty South Cup Call & Competition is a national, juried exhibition. Artist will be chosen to display traditional or non-traditional ceramic vessels. River Oaks Square is a contemporary visual arts and fine crafts center made up of resident artists working with a variety of media. In 1979, the Bolton Family donated their family home to the City of Alexandria in an agreement it would be used solely for the arts. The Bolton Home became the catalyst for the establishment of River Oaks Square Arts Center. Circa 1899, the house is exemplary of Queen Anne Revival Architect in Louisiana and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. After renovations to the Home, River Oaks opened its’ doors in 1984 to meet the needs of the community which it serves.

KMAC Museum is proud to present an exhibition celebrating 40 years of being in existence. The exhibition will open in April of this year and it will consist of art and objects created by artists who have been relevant to the history of KMAC Museum.The Exhibition is curated by our chief curator, Joey Yates.
In conjunction with the museum exhibition, KMAC will present a special showcase of local and regional makers which will be a featured in the Museum Shop. 40 local and regional artists, designers and makers in a contemporary presentation that will take up the entire first floor of the museum area. The showcase will remain on view through the end of this year and into the beginning of 2022.

The 2021 Online Art Fair is very important, especially after a full year of lost income from almost all of our usual sources.
